We aren't known for our renovation projects, but the opportunity to work on this stunning old home was one not to be missed.
Located in Taranaki and originally built from 1901 - 1907, our New Plymouth clients wanted the new extension to blend seamlessly with the old house, so that it’s impossible to tell where the old home ends, and the new one begins.
With renovations to the existing home, as well as another 60% more floor space added, this stunning home now boasts a modern, open plan layout, with space for everyone, while retaining its vintage look and feel. The downstairs living space is perfect for entertaining with a huge open plan kitchen, living and dining area. Sun soaked and warm, it’s a beautiful space to relax in. The kitchen island bench and large scullery are a home cooks dream, with all the latest appliances that somehow don’t look out of place amongst the vintage décor.
A large guest wing, with two bedrooms and a bathroom was added to the rear of the house, slightly detached from the main house. Meanwhile the upstairs bedroom area was also extended to create more rooms for the whole family.
