Nestled in the hills of Whakamaru is the newly built Lake House, an Airbnb home, created by Signature Homes Waikato for clever investors.
This home away from home was designed to be a family-friendly getaway for large groups as it sleeps 10 guests across 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
The rugged Board and Batten timber cladding in black looks right at home in its rural setting and will ensure the Lake House stands the test of time. Finished with long-run metal roofing in Ebony, the house is striking while not being fussy and provides a low-maintenance finish.
The joinery was also an important consideration in a durable exterior. A combination of Residential and Metro Series in Ebony with Soulx-E glass from NZ Windows was selected which allows in expansive views throughout the home and extends the living onto a second-storey covered deck while also opening to the outdoor games area from the downstairs bunk room.
The interiors are simple yet classy using a monochrome colour palette, all set against a backdrop of Resene Black White and breathtaking views of the Waikato River.
