Simon Wilson & Yasamine Sullivan

After working in the Public Relations sector, where I enjoyed some exciting jobs including being the Media Manager for the Black Caps for four years and Business Development Manager of Eden Park Stadium during the rebuild and Rugby World Cup 2011, I pivoted into the building industry in 2014.

Looking back, what I knew about the build process back then you could have written on the back of a postage stamp! Fortunately, since then, I have worked with hundreds of clients and honed my skills. I have won numerous National Sales awards, and I am consistently recognised as a top performer nationally.

Most recently, I have been joined by my partner, Yasamine, who has brought in a fresh perspective and refined my (historically, somewhat ad-hoc!) administrative processes to improve our clients’ experience.

Like Simon, I started out in Communications - Radio in particular - before moving into Recruitment and HR, where I spent much of my career, including several years at PwC.

A big part of recruitment was helping people take the next step in their careers and I see similarities with building a home. Both involve big decisions with financial and personal drivers, and my experience taught me how important it is for people to feel informed, listened to and supported along the way.

I now work alongside Simon, bringing my background in communication and relationship management to the business and helping support the experience we provide our clients.

Between us, we bring a mix of industry experience, honest advice, clear communication and a healthy amount of banter. We enjoy getting to know our clients properly, understanding what matters to them, facilitating a clear pathway to achieve the outcome they are after and helping make the process feel less daunting.
